Saturday Workout

Decided I’ve done Hammer & Chisel now I’m going to do just Chisel for 30 days. Do you know that 70% of people will start a workout program and not finish it? I would love for you to do Chisel with me she really knows how to get the heart rate up. At 52 there are times I don’t feel like doing a workout but after I do I feel so much better. So many times I don’t feel like eating healthy but then I think about if I don’t eat healthy how will I feel? Like Autumn says (Chisel) Keep pushing and that is what I’m going to do and eat right for 30 days do it with me.

After studying and taking notes for over 8 weeks I received my Diploma today I’m so excited about being a Health Coach. I love helping people with eating healthy & workouts! I’m still learning new things everyday what works what don’t. Eating healthy is a life style you either want to eat healthy or you don’t want to. I’m wanting you to know it takes time it gets frustrating sometimes but don’t give up!

There are so many times I don’t feel like working out but when I do it is so worth it. I workout today to Insanity Max3o Sweat Intervals. Do you eat enough protein? I’ve learned lately that is a big part of getting your abs & muscles to stand out. It really works I’ve up my protein and have seen some major changes. Tuesday Motivation

Just a short preview of T25 Ab Intervals when I feel like I need a good ab workout this is the one for me. I actually like any of the T25 workouts they are all really good to get you in shape for any kind of occasion. What is your favorite workouts? Do you just walk? As long as you’re doing something that is better than nothing. I feel better in my 50’s than I did in my 30’s & 40’s just for the simple fact I didn’t take good care of myself on eating right and exercising.

Not saying everyday is an easy day like say today is cloudy out and sometimes I feel like I would just love to wrap up in a warm blanket whether than workout but you know after I workout I smile big because I did it!

Sunday Mud Fun!

So some Sundays we have mud fun. We invite who ever wants to come out and run their trucks through the mud pit. We had one of our biggest crowds yet this time. So much fun something to do on Sundays too! People bring their families which make it even more fun spending time together and having fun! There are more ways to burn calories believe me when I run up and down that side hill you’re burning calories.

Keep Snacking to Drop Pounds

When trying to cut back on calories and lose weight, a common tactic is to avoid snacking. But healthy snacking is an important part of any diet and can actually assist with weight loss.

When hunger hits between meals, choosing the right, nutrient-dense snack can be the difference between meeting weight loss goals and failing miserably because ravenous hunger usually leads to overeating. By eating small portions of nutrient-dense foods throughout the day, you’ll easily meet weight loss goals and provide your body with the nutrition it needs.

Snack to boost metabolism. It’s often thought that when losing weight, metabolism slows. While there’s some truth to this (because there’s less of you to burn energy), you can prevent the metabolic meltdown by eating small frequent meals throughout the day (1). By including healthy snacks between balanced meals, you’re keeping your body in constant burning and building mode.

Snack to curb hunger. When eating small nutrient-dense snacks throughout the day, the body is getting just enough nourishment to curb hunger and keep you satisfied. But you need the right nutrients—studies have shown snacks high in protein and fiber have the strongest effect on satiety (3,4).

Snack to nourish the body. Do you get the recommended 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables each day? If not, you’re not alone. Only one in four US adults meet the mark (5). Healthy snacking can help promote consumption of nutrient-rich foods including fruits and vegetables. In fact, people who snack are more likely to follow a higher-quality diet with reduced intake of solid fats and added sugars (2).

Snack to manage blood sugar. Snacking has also been shown to support the body’s ability to regulate glucose and insulin (1). With increased control over the body’s glucose and insulin function, and a more continuous supply of nutrients to the body, blood glucose levels will stay steady throughout the day. Avoiding blood glucose spikes and crashes is important to prevent fatigue and temptations to eat for an energy boost.

Choosing healthy snacks

Snacking has increased dramatically with almost 40 percent of people reporting they have three or more snacks per day as compared to 12 percent 30 years ago (6). The problem is that many of these snacks are high in calories, fat, salt, and sugar resulting in increased waistlines. Even more important is what’s not in these snacks: protein and fiber—nutrients that can help you feel fuller longer. They also commonly lack essential vitamins and minerals, making it difficult to meet daily micronutrient needs.
